Truck battery swapping station for electric trucks
More electric trucks will be rolling out onto Sydney streets within weeks, following the completion of Janus Electric’s first solar-powered Charge and Change Station at the Moorebank Intermodal Precinct.
The new facility gives electric trucks, produced by Janus Electric on the Central Coast, the ability to swap the two-metre by 1.2 metre batteries for fully charged batteries, and head off on their run.

Yet another forestry death
As the details of yet another worker death emerge from a court prosecution, WorkSafe is again urging the forestry sector to reflect on what more it can do to improve safety.
Jake Duncan was fatally struck when a log came loose and hurtled 325 metres down a hill at Tangoio, north of Napier, in June 2021. The 23-year-old was doing breaking out work, with felled logs connected to a hauling machine for extraction.
