Forestry scholarship applications open
Applications are now open for Ngā Karahipi Uru Rākau (Forestry Scholarships) for study in 2023, giving young people a foot in the door to a career into one of New Zealand’s biggest primary sectors.
There are nine scholarships available, to those studying the Bachelor of Forestry Science or the Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Forest Engineering through the University of Canterbury, as well as the Diploma in Forest Management through Toi Ohomai.

Port unions push for stricter Health & Safety judgement
Port unions will be pushing for an appeal against a Napier District Court decision that saw stevedoring company, ISO, walk away from health and safety charges that were recently dismissed.
